Doncaster Rovers 2-0 Blackpool: 250 word match report

You have to go back to August 2004 for Rovers last home League win over Blackpool, Tim Ryan and Leo Fortune-West supplying the goals. Blackpool had never returned from the Keepmoat empty handed and it took something special to turn the course of this contest after an even first half. Walsall 1-4 Doncaster Rovers: 250 word match report

When Rovers last beat Walsall the UK had a Coalition Government and The Bourne Legacy was showing in cinemas. So when Morgan Ferrier latched onto Andy Butler’s misplaced header to nod past Marko Marosi after 17 minutes there was a sense of ‘here we go again’ amongst the travelling Rovers fans. Shrewsbury Town 2-2 Doncaster Rovers: 250 word match report

A cold, snowy Shropshire greeted Rovers as they travelled to face League One’s surprise packages. The first half can be summed up quickly: Rovers were constipated in attack, vulnerable in defence and lucky to be trailing only to Mat Sadler’s 21st minute goal.
